MEET MARK

Experienced Leadership Delivering Results for Our Community

Since he was first elected in 2016, Supervisor Mark Medina has worked day and night representing you, protecting his constituents in the North end of the County and San Benito County as a whole.

During his first year as a supervisor, only a few weeks after taking the oath of office, Medina was presented with the huge challenge of severe flooding in his district. Supervisor Medina was a fierce advocate at all levels of government, including engaging with the Army Corp of Engineer, members of the United States Congress, California Fish and Game and lobbying his fellow board members to get his constituents the help they needed.

Following the period of flooding, Supervisor Medina had the creative idea of a Facebook page where County residents could alert County staff as to potholes that needed to be repaired. It is this proactive approach to solving problems that best exemplifies the qualities that Supervisor Medina brings to the table.

Now Supervisor Medina, as the current Chair of the Board of Supervisors, is leading the charge with help from you, the business community and his fellow Supervisors to overhaul the County’s planning department in order to make it a responsive and proactive resource for the voters of this County.  Our small businesses, our agricultural industries, and each individual need, deserve and should demand that our local government be a resource, not an impediment. And, as Measure G, gets implemented this year, Mark will be leading and helping with that implementation to ensure that your money is used appropriately and effectively for Highway 25 as well as the numerous pothole you encounter each day.

With this experience under his belt, Supervisor Medina has decided to seek reelection to complete several projects that are on his agenda. His main goals for his next term include economic development, public safety and repairing roads.

Supervisor Mark Medina has always made serving the constituents of San Benito County his number one priority and wants to continue that work.
